Unless otherwise noted, these Shasta Division Engineering Department maps were scanned from linen originals of varying length and size. The originals of entries denoted as (LL) awere drawn on roughly letter or legal size paper.

Grass Lake was thoroughly explored by J. R. Signor in the Summer, 2015 issue of SPHTS Trainline, pp 23-37, using the maps listed below for his own cartegraphic renderings. We reccoment that you find a copy should you wish further info.

Aerial Photos:
The first two images were recorded from a drone by Steve Bush, who has a "thing" for photographing wyes. We opine that his works transcend foamer photography in favor of the world of art. The third comes from Google Maps via Jeff Moore, who highlited the SP tracks in red, the Weed/Long Bell Lumber spurs in green and U.S. Highway 97 in blue. Note that the west spur ran through today's CalTrans maintenance station.
