SP S-11 #1227 waits for traffic to pass before entering the eastbound main off of the 300 lead at the west (north) end
of Tunnel #3 (behind the photographer. From 1941-54, the Newcomb Avenue commute stop lay just outside of the
tunnel mouth. The last of the once-extensive industrial trackage (located at a former WW II Army base, Army Streets"
