If you only want a general visual idea of the difference between various model years, see: Visual Model Year Identification:

There are two basic ways to identify the year and model of Willys Wagons and Deliveries:
1) The V.I.N. number, if your truck still has its plate. You then can look up the number at Off-Road,com or the CJ3b Page, both of which only contain data through 1961. For 1962-65, look here. Note: Willys allowed dealers to re title year-end leftover inventory as the next year's models, so your "1955" Wagon may actually have been manufactured as a 1954. Also note that the the ID plate will show a serial number prefix that will ID the model type and year (i.e. a prefix of 654-FA2 is for a 1954 6-226 4x4 Station Wagon), rather than the actual model names listed below. See V.I.N. Numbers Explained.
2) Physical examination. Body style, trim, accessories, and mechanical differences can aid in IDing your truck. The chart below lists the major year-to-year changes. For a more comprehensive list, see the Willys America Catalog.

All
Leftover 1964 models re titled by dealers and sold as 1965 models.

Note A: The model designations here generally those used in the Willys America Catalog. Model designations for Willys vehicles are as Byzantine as its V.I.N.s. I've found major inconsistencies between secondary sources of model info. The Service Manual that I own shows yet other designations. One example: later four cyl. 4wd Wagons and Deliveries are variuosly listed as models F4-134, F4-134 4x4, 475 and 475 4x4. This list arbitrarily uses F4-134 for Wagons and 475 for Deliveries for clarity between the two types. Take your pick. Can anybody sort out all of this?
