| Disclaimer: I'm an enthusiast, not an expert. Most of the stuff found here is the result of research. If you experts find something that's wrong, IT IS NOT MY FAULT! But please email me at e_o@ wx4.org with the corrections anyway. Thank you very much. | ||||||

| Useful Books | ||||||
|
||||||
| Virtually every original Willys Jeep manual has been reproduced in print and CD (the CD isn't very useful in the garage, however). Original Reproductions has reprinted most, if not all, of them. An absolute must have. |

| After a service manual, this booklet is perhaps the most useful one that you could own if you have a Wagon/Panel, Jeepster or Truck. The first half contains the soundest advice that you can find regarding repowering or restoration from Paul Berry, a guy who has been doing this since 1969. The first half also contains an extensive year-by-year section on vehicle identification by serial number and physical characteristics. The parts catalog in the second half contains many exploded diagrams showing year-to-year differences. Willys America manufacures many of these as well. Another must have. |

| If you need raw statistical information, this is where to find it. Virtually every domestic 4x4 car, truck, SUV - you name it - is listed within its 734 letter-sized pages. The print is tiny, the b&w pictures are few, but the quantity of information is utterly staggering. The book covers each vehicle model on a year-by-year basis and icludes descriptions of dimensions; capacities; engine, suspension and running gear specs; even the price of options in some cases (sadly, no prices for Wagons, but in 1958, a locking rear differential for an FC150/170 cost $40.15). If you are serious about doing Jeep mods, or just want to get generally grounded on domestic 4x4s, this book is absolutely indispensible. Its only down side is a fair number of errors (the chapter on Wagoneers isn't very accurate, for one). |

| Historical narrative, basic statistical and dimensional data, and a fair number of b&w photos cover the entire Jeep 2&4wd spectrum, from Bantam to Grand Cherokee, is covered in this 224 page book. The narrative is broken down by model, and is equipment oriented. Though not nearly as detailed, the book's charts show major specifications, production numbers, colors, major changes, serial & engine number ID's and collectibility ratings. This book is more accurate than the Standard Catalog, but does contain some omissions and errors. For researching Jeeps, I'd say that this book coupled with the Standard Catalog is an essential combination. |

| The "Collectors Edition" of this oversized book with a chrome foil cover has recently made the rounds on book store discount racks, Though it's a coffee table book, there is considerable information available within its 256 pages: narrative history, basic specs and production numbers for all Jeep vehicles from Bantam to Liberty. The b&w and color photos are extensive, and you'll also find some nice ad reproductions. A fun book. | ||||||
